With the July school holidays quickly approaching it's time to start planning your trip to the Zoo! Commencing on June 30, Adelaide and Monarto Zoos and Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary will offer visitors the unique opportunity to explore the 'winter' animal kingdom.

With each location open every day of the school holidays, families will discover what winter means for our animals and how different species adapt to their environment. For species from warmer climates visitors will learn about the extra lengths zookeepers go to, to keep them snugly-warm through the colder months.

For the first time these school holidays Adelaide Zoo visitors will experience a special panda keeper presentation as well as animal encounters in the Children's Zoo, free guided tours and the opportunity to meet some weird and wonderful creatures in the travelling Zoomobile.

At Monarto, a Wild and Wooly activity trail will see participants learn about how our animal friends keep warm and forage for food during the scarce winter months. On top of these special experiences the Zoo will have additional keeper presentations on offer.

Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary will feature its first-ever school holidays activity trail, Warrawong's Wintery Waddle, focusing on how animals survive the winter months. Open free of charge everyday visitors can meet the Sanctuaries native furry friends or defrost in front of the fire while enjoying a meal from the café. Additional animal shows are scheduled every day of the holidays.
